Prof. Dr. Solveiga Vilčinskaitė (Palevičienė) acts as International Independent
Arbitrator / Council in national and international investment and commercial
cases on contractual, shareholders' and complex state liability issues.

After graduating from the joint program of the University of Geneva School of Law and the Institute of Higher Studies (IHEID), Solveiga earned her master’s degree in law (LL.M.) in the field of international dispute resolution (MIDS). She is also a graduate from the IESE Business School’s Advanced Business Management Program and the Harvard Law School’s Future Law Firm Leadership Program.

In 2024 she finished Diploma Course for International Arbitrators, organised by the SCC Arbitration Institute and the Swedish Arbitration Association, which focused on the key features of international arbitration in Sweden and recent Swedish case law.

Her previous work experience includes working as a Head of Dispute Resolution Team and Managing Partner at Glimstedt Law firm, Partner at TEGOS law firm, chief legal adviser to the President of the Republic of Lithuania, an adviser to the President of the Civil Division of the Supreme Court of Lithuania and as a judicial advisor. In 2011 Solveiga was appointed Grand Officer of the Royal Norwegian Order of Merit.

She is nominated as a delegate to the ICC Commission on Arbitration and chairs the Baltic States Chapter at CIArb.

Solveiga is included to the list of recommended arbitrators of the International Centre for the Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), Swiss Arbitration Association, Vilnius Court of Commercial Arbitration.

Solveiga is a professor at Mykolas Romeris University with more than twenty years of experience as a lecturer in various areas of Private law: Civil Law, Comparative Tort and Contract Law, International Arbitration and Investment Law. Her field of research covers complex state liability issues, international investment and arbitration law.
